About Organization

"IGBAL" Foundation was registered in Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan on April 09, 1999 as a Non-Government non-commercial public organization (NGO).
Registration N1104.
Our organization has 52 members.
Director and one of the founders: Elmar K. Amirah.
Our organization has a lot of contacts with Ame-rican and European NGOs.
Financing of "IGBAL" Foundation comprises of personal investments of members and grants from organizations.
Mission of organization: Assistance in development of private small business of handicraftsmen, working in field of traditional decorative-applied and folk handicrafts and arts.
Purpose of the organization: 1) Make private business of handicraftsmen more productive and profitable in the situation of economic recession and low purchasing capacity of most part of the country population.
2) Maintenance of traditional decorative-applied and folk handicrafts of the people in the conditions of strong competitions on the patr of mass production goods.
3) Opening new vacancies for masters in decorative-applied and folk handicrafts and arts with further development of the market for their products both in Azerbaijan and abroad.

Methods for problem solution: Study the problem in places together with specialists and marketing professionals, conduct meeting, workshops and conferences involving the public. Survey of practical measures and possibilities to solve problem and drawing up appropriate program. Experience exchanges with similar foreign organizations.

Azerbaijan Republic is situated on the Caucasus, and we have very many traditional articles and workpieces: carpets, national clothes, embroideries, ceramics, operations on a tree, operations on a rock, miniature, sabre, earthenware production and others. Many articles of our masters are in the best proprietary and state museums of a world.
We help the Azerbaijan handicraftsmen, we train them to sell the articles and workpieces and how to earn money. We have contacts and links with many American and European state (USPAS, USIS, IREX, IATP) and non-profil organizations(NGOs).
We actively work with the designs which helps the modern masters
and handicraftsmen. We gather the information on our handicraftsmen and we organize the exhibitions and advertising and sale. Our organization also sends the employees for involvement at seminars and conferences, which one take place all over the world.
Today we issue a magazine and we organize the exhibitions. We also would wish to cooperate with organizations all over the world for propagation and progressing Contemporary Handicraft Art.
