Karayeva Latifa was born on the 19-th of August 1942, in Baku.
She entered the Moscow Art Applied Manufacturing College in 1960 after graduating from a Secondary School. She was put on the student's list of Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts in 1967 and
successfully graduated in 1972. Some of her works were bought by the Azerbaijan State Carpet and Applied Arts Museum.
She created a number of portrait compositions on carpets made by the order of the Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of Culture. They are the portraits of Margarett Thatcher, M.Rostropovich, I. Kobzon, weaved on the carpets.
