The greatest obstacle they faced is decrease of demand and interest in articles of this art. The basic reason of this situation is mass production and congestion of the market with cheap articles similar to decorative art articles but made using modern equipment.
All the above stated show that the fate of decorative-applied art of our nation is in real danger. It is unacceptable to be indifferent to such situation. Assistance and support shall be rendered to this art and its masters by all means. The objective of this project is to collect modern subtleties of the folk-applied art and to submit them to a large public.
